“I’ve had a few vocal coaches , and Julie is BY FAR the best! She’s so sweet and reassuring, it somehow makes making the ugliest noises not embarrassing at all. And that’s huge to me, I’m not afraid of the ugly and scary spaces I need to sit in and work on anymore! Julie is the most wonderful vocal instructor I have ever had because she helps you find YOUR voice. I had other vocal instructors in the past who wanted me to sing differently, but Julie focuses on what you have already and builds and strengthens from there. “Julie is one of the best teachers I’ve had! She is so thorough in her explanation, so non-judgmental about where you may be at in your vocal knowledge - and really importantly, she has a fantastic ear. She knows her voice so well and makes learning new things about my own voice so exciting. She treats every student as an individual - not using a one size fits all subscription for voice lessons, which makes sense, since all bodies are different! But I truly don’t think I had a voice teacher look at my voice as its own entity and work on my own sound with me - also prioritizing how I’d like to sound.
